Why is this important
This will make language learning more accessible, especially in the regions. The measure is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of young people, developing human capital, and supporting language education.
What happened
The program is implemented through the Youth Affairs Agency and the Youth Policy Fund.
Subsidies are provided under the following conditions:
- self-payment for the first 2 months;
- language certificate with a certain level;
- the training center must be registered on an electronic platform and connected to the attendance control system.
Payment amount:
- Tashkent — 2 BCV (824 thousand soums);
- regional centers and Karakalpakstan — 1.5 BCV (618 thousand soums);
- districts and other cities — 1 BCV (412 thousand soums).
In 2025-2026, 20 thousand subsidies will be issued, then 20 thousand per year until 2031. Subsidies are suspended after the annual limit is exhausted.
Context
The initiative is part of a comprehensive language promotion program presented in February 2024. It also includes compensation for taking language exams and supporting language schools in villages.
Such measures help reduce barriers to access to education and increase the mobility of young professionals.
