Why is this important
The “Loan Ban” protects against fraud: issuing loans based on stolen or forged documents. 150 thousand for 4 months — high demand, indicating awareness of risks. 68% of men use the service, as they are more often victims of financial fraud. 26-35 years old are active borrowers protecting their credit history.
What happened
- In 4 months, 150 thousand people activated the “credit ban”;
- 68% — men, 32% — women;
- Leaders — 26-35 years old;
- Access: KATM, portal.infokredit.uz, my.gov.uz, state centers;
- The service is free.
How it works
The service blocks the issuance of loans without the owner’s explicit consent. When attempting to obtain a loan, the bank receives a notification of the ban and rejects the application.

- Portal my.gov.uz;
- State Service Centers.

- They have an active credit history that they protect.
Context
- Launch: Summer 2025 (April-May).
- Purpose: protection from fraud when loans are issued through stolen passports, fake powers of attorney, and OneID hacked.
- Problem: in 2024, more than 5 thousand cases of fraudulent loans were registered. Victims learned about the debts when collectors demanded repayment.
- Solution: “credit ban” blocks processing without explicit consent.
- How to remove the ban: the owner personally disables the service through the same channels (KATM, portal, government centers).
- Free: the state does not charge a fee for the service.
