In 2025, the number of credit history inquiries in Uzbekistan more than doubled

“Excellent” scoring was received by 5% of users, and Tashkent leads in the number of requests among the regions.

Why is this important

Credit history statistics show how widely people and businesses use data before obtaining loans and making financial decisions. The sharp increase in applications in 2025 means that the service has become significantly more in-demand, meaning that borrowers’ behavior and the demand for transparent risk assessment are changing.

What happened

  • The Credit Information and Analysis Center (KATM) reported that 2.293 million people used credit information in 2025, more than twice as much as in 2024.
  • The main audience of the service consists of individuals, and the number of appeals grew over the year and reached its maximum by December.
  • Data on the frequency of requests, the distribution of users by gender, age, regions, and scoring categories were also published.

What does this mean

  • The more than twofold increase in requests over the year indicates the expansion of regular use of credit information, primarily by individuals, and the increase in the number of repeated appeals.
  • The scoring distribution shows that the “strong” group constitutes a limited share, and the majority of users are in the middle categories, which is important for assessing potential demand for loans and their issuance terms.
  • The peak of calls at the end of the year indicates seasonal concentration of load and user activity, while the regional structure emphasizes the dominance of Tashkent and Tashkent region in using the service.
