Why is this important
Personalized license plates can become a new source of income for the budget and allow drivers to choose individual combinations.
What happened
- Uzavtomotobelgi SUE will handle the issuance;
- The sale will be conducted through open electronic auctions;
- Permissible combinations — up to 6 letters and/or digits;
- It is prohibited to coincide with current numbers, as well as words that violate law or moral norms;
- Example: “SARVAR”, “AZIZA”, “ODIL”, “BUKHARA”.
Context
Now only “beautiful” numbers of standard format are sold through the avtoraqam.uzex.uz portal. The idea of personalized numbers has been discussed in petitions since 2019, but only now has it been implemented.
