What happened
- Proposal to create an industrial engineering hub Central Asia—RF in the city of Bukhara, where engineering solutions for cooperation with Russia will be developed and implemented.
- The Regional Center for Atomic Energy Competencies in Uzbekistan and the launch of a personnel training program through the AIFC branch in Tashkent were announced.
- Mirziyoyev also announced that projects for the construction of the first nuclear power plant and a nuclear medicine center will soon be launched.

Context
Uzbekistan already has plans to build a 330 MW nuclear power plant in the Jizzakh region with the participation of Rosatom. The competency center and personnel are key elements without which the implementation of the atomic project will be difficult. The hub in Bukhara could become a hub for joint Russian—Uzbek technological projects, including energy, mechanical engineering, infrastructure, and green technologies.
These initiatives strengthen the strategic partnership with Russia and signal the markets about the priorities of Uzbekistan’s industrial policy.
