- manual collection — 2000 soums/kg,
- machine harvest — 1373 soums/kg;
- A subsidy of 1000 soums per kilogram will be provided from the budget to cover production costs.
- The price can also be set by agreement between clusters, farmers, and harvesters;
- Payments are valid for the entire 2025 harvest period.
What they say
The Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that the purpose of the new tariffs is to support farmers and incentivize them to conduct the harvest effectively.
Context
In recent years, Uzbekistan has been steadily mechanising cotton harvesting, but manual labour still remains in demand. The state continues to provide cost subsidies to ease the burden on producers and preserve the industry’s competitiveness.
