Context
The UAE is actively implementing artificial intelligence in all areas of public administration: from data analysis and forecasting to the automation of public services and decision-making. The country has an AI Ministry (the world’s first) established in 2017 to coordinate the national AI strategy.
Uzbekistan is also developing a digital agenda: a project to predict earthquakes using AI has been launched, and it is planned to analyze the seismic resistance of buildings and big data. Partnership with the UAE can accelerate the introduction of advanced technologies in public administration.
Training specialists is a crucial aspect: without qualified personnel, technologies will not work effectively. Evaluating technological projects helps to choose the best solutions and avoid investing in ineffective developments.
Uzinfocom is a state-owned company responsible for the digitalization of public services and the development of IT infrastructure. The UAE’s interest in the company’s developments can open up opportunities for the export of Uzbek technological solutions.
