What happened
- The tourist office was opened as part of the high-level official visit;
- Creates new opportunities for joint projects and promotion of routes;
- In June 2025, a 30-day visa-free regime was introduced for citizens of the PRC;
- Now there are more than 50 flights per week, it is planned to increase them to 100;
- 2025 was declared the “Year of Uzbekistan’s Tourism in China” — road shows and exhibitions were held in 9 major cities.
Context
Uzbekistan aims to attract up to 3 million tourists from China by 2030. The Beijing tourism office is part of this strategy.
