Context
Uzbekistan resumed the WTO accession process in 2020, after a period of pause, and has been actively conducting bilateral negotiations with many members of the organization since then. The goal is to complete the process for the WTO ministerial conference in Cameroon, scheduled for March 2026.
Market access protocols are key elements for joining, as they define the conditions under which Uzbek companies’ goods and services will compete in open markets.
