For foreign investors, this is a signal of the state&#8217;s readiness to protect brands from unfair use. <\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Competition Committee received a complaint from <strong>Kimberly-Clark<\/strong>, the owner of the Huggies brand.<\/li>\n<li>The investigation revealed that <strong>Ahangaron Hygienic Pro<\/strong> had been producing Huggies-branded diapers without the rights holder&#8217;s permission.<\/li>\n<li>The company&#8217;s actions were deemed <strong>to violate the laws<\/strong> \u201cOn Competition\u201d and \u201cOn Consumer Protection\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>The commission&#8217;s decision imposed <strong>a financial fine<\/strong> on the manufacturer and also ordered to stop using the brand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What they say<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Committee noted that the illegal use of trademarks \u201cdamages the reputation of original brands and misleads consumers\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In August, the Committee had already considered a similar case: the <strong>Mexmet Sweets<\/strong> family company received a warrant for using the <strong>Sladok<\/strong> brand, owned by <strong>Chococream<\/strong> (N&#8217;Medov Group).
