{"id":10581,"date":"2025-10-07T14:13:46","date_gmt":"2025-10-07T09:13:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/bez-kategorii\/the-deputies-adopted-a-law-on-noise-protection\/"},"modified":"2025-10-07T14:13:46","modified_gmt":"2025-10-07T09:13:46","slug":"the-deputies-adopted-a-law-on-noise-protection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/en\/news-en\/the-deputies-adopted-a-law-on-noise-protection\/","title":{"rendered":"The deputies adopted a law on noise protection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Why is this important<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The document establishes strict time limits for noisy activities, introduces compensation and increased responsibility \u2014 which can significantly change the living conditions and regulation in housing and communal services and construction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The law was finalized taking into account the proposals of factions, the public, and relevant specialists.<\/li>\n<li>On weekdays, tranquility is guaranteed from <strong>23:00 to 7:00<\/strong> (instead of the previous 6:00), on weekends &#8211; from <strong>22:00 to 9:00<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Repair and construction work in apartment buildings is permitted only from <strong>9:00 to 18:00<\/strong> on working days.<\/li>\n<li>Damage from noise exposure can be recovered through the court, but compensation does not release the violator from obligations.<\/li>\n<li>The law provides for an increase in the salary of employees working in conditions of excessive noise, as well as a mechanism for suspending the activities of violating facilities.<\/li>\n<li>In the second reading, 124 deputies supported the law, in the third &#8211; 125 with one abstention.<\/li>\n<li>The draft has now been sent to the Senate, after which it will be sent to the president for signature.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The draft law was rejected twice: in August 2024 and September 2025. Previously, the norms and punishments for noise were less stringent: fines for citizens were limited to 137,330 soums, for officials &#8211; 206,000 soums.
