{"id":10744,"date":"2025-10-10T09:33:27","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T04:33:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/bez-kategorii\/cb-instructs-banks-to-automatically-provide-updated-loan-schedules\/"},"modified":"2025-10-10T09:33:27","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T04:33:27","slug":"cb-instructs-banks-to-automatically-provide-updated-loan-schedules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/en\/news-en\/cb-instructs-banks-to-automatically-provide-updated-loan-schedules\/","title":{"rendered":"CB instructs banks to automatically provide updated loan schedules."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Why is this important<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This strengthens the protection of borrowers&#8217; rights: they will be informed about changes \u2014 dates, amounts, debt balance \u2014 in a timely manner and reduces the risk of disputes, delays, and penalties due to lack of awareness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Central Bank noted that some banks include a clause in the agreement: \u201cinformation on the changed schedule is provided only upon the client&#8217;s request\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>The regulator insists that this violates <strong>Article 66 of the Law \u201cOn Banks and Banking Activities\u201d<\/strong>, which prohibits denial of information, and the provisions of the Law \u201cOn Protection of Consumer Rights\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Banks are obliged to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remove such restrictive clauses from future contracts;<\/li>\n<li>To amend existing agreements so that such terms lose their force;<\/li>\n<li>Automatically send borrowers updated schedules with the debt balance, dates, amounts of all payments, and interest without requiring a request.<\/li>\n<li>The regulator emphasizes: the schedule is a part of the loan agreement. If the client doesn&#8217;t learn about the changes, they may miss out, receive extra charges, or be fined. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Previously, there were complaints in the market that borrowers learned about the change in terms too late, which provoked misunderstandings and legal disputes.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Bank&#8217;s step is part of a broader course towards increasing transparency and balance of power between banks and clients.
