{"id":10755,"date":"2025-10-10T12:49:28","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T07:49:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/bez-kategorii\/russia-increased-gas-exports-to-uzbekistan-and-neighboring-ca-countries-by-15\/"},"modified":"2025-10-10T12:49:28","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T07:49:28","slug":"russia-increased-gas-exports-to-uzbekistan-and-neighboring-ca-countries-by-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/en\/news-en\/russia-increased-gas-exports-to-uzbekistan-and-neighboring-ca-countries-by-15\/","title":{"rendered":"Russia increased gas exports to Uzbekistan and neighboring CA countries by 15%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Why is this important<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The increase in supplies underscores the strengthening energy cooperation between the Russian Federation and Central Asia, and also reflects the growing demand for energy resources amid the region&#8217;s accelerated economic growth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>According to Miller, combined gas supplies to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan increased <strong>by 15%<\/strong> in 8 months.<\/li>\n<li>This is due to <strong>growing demand<\/strong>: according to Gazprom&#8217;s estimates, the economies of the three countries will grow by 60% in the <strong>next 5-6 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Among the factors is the <strong>\u201cPower of Siberia-2\u201d project<\/strong>, which creates an infrastructural basis for increasing supplies to the CA countries.<\/li>\n<li>In June alone, Uzbekistan imported a record <strong>$286.3 million<\/strong> worth of gas.<\/li>\n<li>At the same time, according to the results of January-August, the total import of gas to Uzbekistan from Russia and Turkmenistan decreased by <strong>27.9%<\/strong> to <strong>$885.9 million<\/strong> \u2014 probably due to the decrease in purchases in the first quarter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gazprom has been supplying gas to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan since 2023 via the return route from Russia through Kazakhstan.
