The participation of two major players \u2014 Wildberries and Uzum \u2014 can change the balance of power in the logistics and e-commerce markets. <\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Uzum announced its intention to participate in<strong> UzPost&#8217;s state share bidding<\/strong> by sending a letter to the State Assets Management Agency.<\/li>\n<li>The company emphasizes that postal management should take into account <strong>national interests<\/strong> and <strong>an important social function<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>A week earlier, the media <a href=\"https:\/\/frank.uz\/en\/news-en\/uzpost-privatization-russian-marketplace-could-buy-the-state-share\/\">reported<\/a> that <strong>Wildberries<\/strong> had become a participant in the privatization, but <strong>the details of the deal were not disclosed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/frank.uz\/en\/news-en\/uzpost-explained-the-rumors-about-privatization-investor-is-possible-the-state-share-has-not-been-sold\/\">There was no<\/a> official announcement of the auction. Neither the SAMA, nor the Ministry of Economy, nor Wildberries itself commented on the situation. <\/li>\n<li>The company considers itself a natural partner of UzPost and claims to participate in the development of postal infrastructure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What they say<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The postal service is an important state asset. It should develop in the interests of all partners and users \u2014 from Uzum&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/uzum_pressoffice\/244\">appeal<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>UzPost is undergoing transformation and partial privatization. In September, a 25% stake was transferred from UzNIF to the SAMA. In June, the composition of affiliated persons was changed: the Ministry of Finance and Aloqabank were removed, and structures under the control of the State Joint-Stock Company were added.
