The almost twofold increase in service exports ($6.8 billion) indicates the diversification of the economy through IT, logistics, and tourism. <\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Foreign trade turnover reached $59.8 billion (+22.9% year-on-year);<\/li>\n<li>Exports grew by 33.3% to $26.7 billion, imports \u2014 by 15.6% to $33.1 billion;<\/li>\n<li>Trade deficit amounted to $6.4 billion against $7.8 billion a year earlier;<\/li>\n<li>In the structure of exports: goods \u2014 $19.9 billion, services \u2014 $6.8 billion;<\/li>\n<li>In the structure of imports: goods \u2014 $29.5 billion, services \u2014 $3.6 billion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Trade structure by country<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Main trading partners: EAEU ($14.3 billion), CIS ($19.3 billion), other countries ($40.4 billion), EU ($5 billion). Imports from the CIS increased by 22.9%, exports \u2014 by 33.3%. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Structure by product groups<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Export:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Other goods (including gold) \u2014 $9.9 billion;<\/li>\n<li>Services \u2014 $6.8 billion;<\/li>\n<li>Industrial goods \u2014 $2.9 billion;<\/li>\n<li>Food, beverages, tobacco \u2014 $2.2 billion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Import:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Machinery and equipment \u2014 $11.2 billion (20% of total imports);<\/li>\n<li>Industrial goods \u2014 $5.3 billion;<\/li>\n<li>Chemical substances \u2014 $4.1 billion;<\/li>\n<li>Food \u2014 $3.7 billion;<\/li>\n<li>Services \u2014 $3.6 billion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 33% increase in exports is due to high gold prices, increased supply of industrial products and services. Gold exports traditionally account for a significant share of exports, and the growth of services reflects the development of the IT sector and transport and logistics operations. <\/p>\n<p>Import of machinery and equipment ($11.2 billion) indicates the modernization of industry and infrastructure projects.
