Such a system reduces the risk of errors, falsifications, and unjustified prescriptions, which directly affects patients&#8217; safety. Electronic accounting also allows the state to more effectively control the pharmaceutical market, including the movement of prescription drugs and the operation of pharmacies and medical institutions.  <\/p>\n<h3>What happened<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting December 10th, an experiment to implement the \u201cElectronic Prescription\u201d system on the DMED platform <a href=\"https:\/\/lex.uz\/ru\/pdfs\/7723519\">began<\/a> in Tashkent and 15 other cities.<\/li>\n<li>By the end of 2026, it is planned to connect all medical institutions and pharmacies of the country to the system.<\/li>\n<li>From January 2027, the complete transition to electronic prescriptions will become mandatory.<\/li>\n<li>The mechanism for accounting for potent and psychotropic drugs is planned to be developed by January 1, 2027.<\/li>\n<li>The country has registered 12,817 prescription drugs, including antibiotics, hormonal agents, psychotropic drugs, analgin, diclofenac, ascorbic acid, 70% ethyl alcohol, and lidocaine.<\/li>\n<li>The Ministry of Health stated that the system will reduce unjustified prescriptions, limit polypragmasy, increase market transparency, and identify contraband products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>New system<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The system includes the procedure for issuing a prescription through the patient&#8217;s electronic medical record with the formation of a QR code and an electronic signature.<\/li>\n<li>Pharmacists will check the electronic prescription and record the dispensing of medications in the system.<\/li>\n<li>For patients after admission to the hospital, prescriptions are issued based on their discharge or medical history.<\/li>\n<li>A list of mandatory data, which must be contained in the electronic prescription, has been established.<\/li>\n<li>Only medications registered in Uzbekistan are permitted.<\/li>\n<li>Control over the issuance of prescriptions in medical institutions is entrusted to the Ministry of Health, and in pharmacies \u2014 to the Center for the Safety of Pharmaceutical Products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Electronic prescription<\/h3>\n<p>The electronic prescription must contain:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>data of the medical organization and its license;<\/li>\n<li>PINI, full name and patient&#8217;s date of birth;<\/li>\n<li>diagnosis according to ICD;<\/li>\n<li>Name of the preparation, dosage, scheme and duration of administration;<\/li>\n<li>prescription number and date of issue;<\/li>\n<li>data of the attending physician.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Context<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The DMED electronic system is already being used for digital medical records, which allows for the integration of prescriptions into existing infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>Electronic prescriptions allow for the prompt detection of abuses, including the unjustified prescription of antibiotics or the issuance of unregistered medications.<\/li>\n<li>Patients will be able to receive prescriptions faster and without the risk of losing a paper document.<\/li>\n<li>Medical institutions and pharmacies will operate in a single digital environment, which will reduce the number of manual operations and reduce the likelihood of errors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The authorities have launched an experiment that will cover 16 cities, with mandatory transition planned for January 2027.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":13805,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_sharing_image":{"poster":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/693bff1125c0f.jpg","width":1200,"height":630,"template":"2bf59057","mode":"auto"},"_sharing_image_fieldset":{"Dv78f24rp1hU":13805,"YlB8HH34jIzY":"In Uzbekistan, some of the drugs have begun to be sold online"},"pin_until":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[2061],"tags":[3346,3724],"class_list":["post-13822","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-en","tag-digital-technologies","tag-medicine"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.0 (Yoast SEO v25.9) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>In Uzbekistan, some of the drugs have begun to be sold online &#8212;
