This also reduces the risk of conflicts with government agencies and increases the protection of the population&#8217;s property rights. <\/p>\n<h3>What does this mean<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/qonunchilikpalatasi\/32537\">adopted<\/a> a draft law on simplifying the recognition of the right to self-seizure of land in the first reading.<\/li>\n<li>The document was developed by the Ministry of Justice and includes amendments to the law on recognizing rights to illegally occupied plots, buildings, and structures.<\/li>\n<li>The draft law was supported by 135 of the 138 deputies present, three did not participate in the voting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Numbers and facts<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The deadline for issuing a final opinion is reduced from 150 to 50 days: 20 days \u2014 consideration of applications by authorized organizations, 10 days \u2014 public discussion through announcement, 20 days \u2014 consideration by justice bodies.<\/li>\n<li>A fixed one-time payment is being introduced for the recognition of plots exceeding the area specified in the documents \u2014 instead of the market value of the land.<\/li>\n<li>If full payment is made on time, a 50% discount is provided.<\/li>\n<li>Installment payments for 1-3 years are allowed under a contract with the tax inspectorate.<\/li>\n<li>Recognition of rights to plots is permitted with tax arrears up to 30 BCV (12.36 million soums).<\/li>\n<li>More than 243 thousand objects have current debts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Context<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The adopted amendments can significantly accelerate the process of legalizing buildings and reduce the administrative burden on citizens and government structures.<\/li>\n<li>More flexible financial conditions allow more owners to settle their property&#8217;s status.<\/li>\n<li>This can contribute to an increase in the tax base, a reduction in court disputes, and the formation of a more transparent real estate market in Uzbekistan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The deputies supported the draft law reducing the timeframe for considering applications by three times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":14411,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":true,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_sharing_image":{"poster":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/694ceefc0833d.jpg","width":1200,"height":630,"template":"2bf59057","mode":"auto"},"_sharing_image_fieldset":{"Dv78f24rp1hU":14411,"YlB8HH34jIzY":"Recognition of rights to illegally occupied plots will be accelerated in Uzbekistan"},"pin_until":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[2061],"tags":[2313,2469],"class_list":["post-14415","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-en","tag-construction","tag-land"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.0 (Yoast SEO v25.9) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Recognition of rights to illegally occupied plots will be accelerated in Uzbekistan &#8212;
