The expansion of output and the phased increase in capacity will provide a foundation for engaging related industries and reducing import dependence. The region gains an opportunity to establish itself as a production and logistics hub with access to Central Asian markets.  <\/p>\n<h3>What happened<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A project for the <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.uz\/oz\/buxoro\/news\/view\/154121\">phased<\/a> establishment of automobile production in the Bukhara region has been presented with the participation of the Chinese company Zhejiang Leapmotor Tech Co.<\/li>\n<li>The initiative was announced on April 1 at a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dedicated to reforms and the region\u2019s economic potential.<\/li>\n<li>The project includes launching the production of several car models, developing component localization and training personnel in cooperation with universities, as well as discussing ways to accelerate its implementation with the company\u2019s management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Numbers and facts<\/h3>\n<p>The production plan provides for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>production of 20,000 vehicles in 2026 with revenue of $50 million;<\/li>\n<li>40,000 vehicles in 2027 with revenue of $100 million;<\/li>\n<li>60,000 vehicles in 2028 with revenue of $150 million;<\/li>\n<li>100,000 vehicles in 2029 with revenue of $200 million;<\/li>\n<li>150,000 vehicles in 2030 with revenue of $300 million;
