The increase in the number of subsidy recipients and the volume of electricity supplied to the grid indicates the expansion of distributed generation and a reduced burden on the traditional energy system. At the same time, the program is stimulating demand for solar panels in regions where households and businesses are more actively investing in alternative energy.  <\/p>\n<h3>What happened<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>From January to March 2026, 45,200 residents of Uzbekistan received subsidies for supplying electricity from household solar photovoltaic panels to the national grid, the Tax Committee <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/fiskaltahlil\/1489\">reported<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Compared with the same period in 2025, the number of subsidy recipients increased 3.5 times.<\/li>\n<li>The highest number of participants in the \u201cSolar Home\u201d program was recorded in March \u2014 44,700 people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Numbers and facts<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The total volume of subsidies under the \u201cSolar Home\u201d program in the first quarter of 2026 amounted to 73.98 billion soums.<\/li>\n<li>Compared with January\u2013March of last year, the volume of payments increased more than ninefold.<\/li>\n<li>Bukhara region became the leader in subsidy volume with 16.53 billion soums, accounting for 22.3% of all payments nationwide.<\/li>\n<li>Khorezm region ranked second with 13.29 billion soums.<\/li>\n<li>At the same time, in March the region moved into first place in monthly payments \u2014 9.37 billion soums compared with 9.32 billion soums in Bukhara region.<\/li>\n<li>Kashkadarya region ranked third with 9.1 billion soums in subsidies, of which 4.94 billion soums were paid in March.<\/li>\n<li>The top five regions by subsidy volume also included Karakalpakstan \u2014 7.63 billion soums and Navoi region \u2014 5.97 billion soums.<\/li>\n<li>Bukhara region showed the highest year-on-year growth in subsidy volume \u2014 23.8 times.<\/li>\n<li>Among the regions with the highest growth rates were also Kashkadarya region \u2014 18.9 times and Samarkand region \u2014 12.5 times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Context<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>For the population, the program is becoming not only a way to reduce electricity costs, but also an additional source of income through selling excess energy to the grid.<\/li>\n<li>The active growth of payouts in the regions shows that interest in household solar stations is moving beyond major cities and becoming a visible factor in the regional energy market.<\/li>\n<li>For the energy system, this means a gradual increase in the share of distributed generation, especially in the country\u2019s sunny and agricultural regions.<\/li>\n<li>At the same time, the growth in subsidies may lead to a further increase in demand for solar energy equipment and installation services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since the beginning of the year, 45,200 people have received subsidies, while Bukhara region became the leader in total payouts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":20101,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_sharing_image":{"poster":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/69f78f0c4d163.jpg","width":1200,"height":630,"template":"2bf59057","mode":"auto"},"_sharing_image_fieldset":{"Dv78f24rp1hU":20101,"YlB8HH34jIzY":"Payments for household solar panels have sharply increased in Uzbekistan"},"pin_until":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[2061],"tags":[3527,2153],"class_list":["post-20114","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-en","tag-solar-energy","tag-statistics"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.0 (Yoast SEO v25.9) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Payments for household solar panels have sharply increased in Uzbekistan &#8212;
