Growth in the number of companies is usually associated with the development of trade, services, construction, and small business, as well as rising domestic demand. At the same time, the regional distribution of enterprises shows where the country\u2019s main economic activity is concentrated and which areas still significantly lag behind in terms of business scale.  <\/p>\n<h3>What happened<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>As of May 1, 2026, there <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/statistika_rasmiy\/7587\">were<\/a> 580.9 thousand enterprises and organizations operating in Uzbekistan.<\/li>\n<li>Compared to the same period last year, this figure increased by 40.2 thousand, or 7.4 percent.<\/li>\n<li>The largest number of operating enterprises and organizations was recorded in Tashkent city, Tashkent region, and Samarkand region.<\/li>\n<li>The lowest figures were recorded in Syrdarya, Navoi, and Jizzakh regions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Numbers and facts<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A total of 110,815 enterprises and organizations were operating in Tashkent city.
