For the agricultural sector, this also means broadening the range of goods that can be sold without value-added tax. At the same time, the authorities are maintaining a mechanism for regularly updating the list while taking into account proposals from regions and producers themselves.  <\/p>\n<h3>What happened<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Ministry of Agriculture and the Tax Committee approved an <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.uz\/oz\/soliq\/sections\/view\/91081\">updated<\/a> list of agricultural products sold by producers that are subject to a zero VAT rate.<\/li>\n<li>The new list was published on the website of the tax authority and includes 518 items. The list covers fruits, vegetables, melons, grains, legumes, meat, dairy and fish products, as well as agricultural seedlings. <\/li>\n<li>In addition to the updated edition, 14 new items approved at the end of April were also included. Among them are live fish, large and small livestock, horses, pigs, camels, donkeys, bee colonies, silkworms, as well as ferula seedlings and resin. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Numbers and facts<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The updated list includes 518 types of products eligible for a zero VAT rate when sold by producers.<\/li>\n<li>The list includes fruits and berries such as apples, pears, apricots, peaches, persimmons, strawberries, raspberries, sour cherries, sweet cherries, grapes, citrus fruits, and passion fruit.<\/li>\n<li>The zero rate also applies to vegetables including onions, carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and greens, including dried products, as well as potatoes, watermelons, melons, and pumpkins.<\/li>\n<li>The list also includes legumes such as mung beans, beans, and peas, grain crops other than wheat and their seeds, as well as all types of spices.<\/li>\n<li>The tax benefit applies to fresh and frozen meat, chicken and quail eggs, fish and seafood including crabs, shrimp, and squid, as well as milk and dairy products. The list also separately includes seedlings of fruit trees, flowers, and other agricultural crops.<\/li>\n<li>The document also \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u0443\u0441\u043c\u0430\u0442\u0440\u0438\u0432\u0430\u0435\u0442 the possibility of further amendments to the list. Proposals for adding new products may be submitted by the Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan, regional administrations, and agricultural producers themselves. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Context<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>For farmers and producers, expanding the list means the ability to sell a wider range of products without VAT.
