The growth in trade turnover, investment, and the number of joint ventures shows that cooperation between the countries is gradually transcending individual projects and covering industry, transport, agriculture, and manufacturing. The development of the Middle Corridor, which is considered one of the alternative routes for supplying goods to Europe, is also of additional importance for Uzbekistan.  <\/p>\n<h3>What happened<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Center for Economic Research and Reforms <a href=\"https:\/\/review.uz\/post\/infografika-torgovo-ekonomicheskoe-i-investicionnoe-sotrudnichestvo-uzbekistana-s-azerbaydjanom-2026\">analyzed<\/a> the trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan over the last nine years.<\/li>\n<li>CERR noted that in recent years, cooperation between the two countries has reached the level of strategic partnership and allied relations.<\/li>\n<li>To coordinate cooperation, the Supreme Interstate Council was established under the chairmanship of the presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.<\/li>\n<li>According to the analysis, mutual trade between the countries is carried out in a free trade regime, and investment and industrial cooperation continues to expand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Numbers and facts<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Between 2017 and 2025, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan increased 9.5 times, from $32.5 million to $307.3 million. Uzbekistan&#8217;s exports increased 8.2 times, from $27.6 million to $227.3 million, while imports increased 16.3 times, from $4.9 million to $80 million.<\/li>\n<li>In the structure of Uzbekistan&#8217;s exports to Azerbaijan in 2025, industrial goods accounted for the largest share &#8211; $63.4 million or 28% of the total volume.<\/li>\n<li>Vehicles and transport equipment accounted for $49.3 million or 22%, food products for $36.3 million or 16%, and beverages and tobacco for $34.3 million or 15%. The volume of services reached $22.5 million. <\/li>\n<li>Imports from Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan were mainly formed by food products &#8211; $43.2 million or 54% of the total volume.<\/li>\n<li>Industrial goods amounted to $17.4 million, machinery and transport equipment &#8211; $5.8 million, chemical products &#8211; $5.4 million, and services &#8211; $4.3 million.<\/li>\n<li>In 2023, the countries established the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Investment Company with a charter capital of $500 million.<\/li>\n<li>The number of enterprises with Azerbaijani capital in Uzbekistan increased from 71 in 2017 to 442 in 2025, representing a 6.2-fold increase.<\/li>\n<li>The volume of Azerbaijani investments in Uzbekistan in 2025 reached $173.7 million, compared to $0.1 million in 2017. The total volume of accumulated Azerbaijani investments in the economy of Uzbekistan amounted to $318.6 million. <\/li>\n<li>The main areas of activity for enterprises with Azerbaijani capital remain construction, manufacturing, and agriculture.<\/li>\n<li>Uzbekistan is also expanding its presence in the Azerbaijani market.
