An increase in the number of highly liquid securities usually means higher turnover, an expansion in the circle of market participants, and greater opportunities to quickly buy or sell assets without significantly affecting the price. At the same time, the reduction in the share of low-liquidity instruments indicates a gradual revival of trading activity in Uzbekistan\u2019s capital market.  <\/p>\n<h3>What happened<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Based on the results of April 2026, a liquidity assessment of 121 shares <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/uzseofficial\/5964\">included<\/a> in the exchange quotation list was conducted.<\/li>\n<li>According to the analysis results, 38 instruments were classified as highly liquid, 22 as moderately liquid, and 61 as low-liquid.<\/li>\n<li>Compared to last year, the number of highly liquid stocks increased by 36%, while the average market liquidity level increased by 8% compared to March.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Numbers and facts<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>When assessing liquidity, the volume and number of transactions, the number of exchange members participating in trading, and the number of trading days with completed transactions were taken into account.<\/li>\n<li>Of the 121 analyzed instruments, 38 shares, or 31%, were classified as highly liquid.<\/li>\n<li>Another 22 instruments, or 19%, fell into the medium-liquidity category. Meanwhile, 61 shares were recognized as low-liquid, accounting for 50% of the total number of instruments.<\/li>\n<li>Compared to the same period last year, the number of highly liquid instruments increased by 36%, while the number of low-liquid instruments decreased by 10. Compared to March 2026, the number of low-liquidity shares decreased by another 2 instruments. <\/li>\n<li>In April 2026, 13 instruments received the maximum liquidity indicator of 12 points.<\/li>\n<li>For comparison, in April 2025, only 7 instruments achieved such a result. The number of shares with a liquidity index of 11 points reached 11, which is almost four times higher than the March level. <\/li>\n<li>The average liquidity indicator across the market increased by 8% compared to March, while among highly liquid securities the growth amounted to 14%.<\/li>\n<li>Over the past two months, the shares of UzRTXB, O\u2018zsanoatqurilishbank, Ipoteka-bank, Hamkorbank, O\u2018zmetkombinat, Qizilqumsement, Chilonzor buyum savdo majmuasi, and Uzbekinvest have maintained high liquidity levels.<\/li>\n<li>Of the 61 low-liquidity instruments, 58 practically did not participate in trading.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Context<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>For investors, the increase in the number of liquid securities means broader trading opportunities and easier entry into and exit from positions without sharp price fluctuations.<\/li>\n<li>Higher liquidity also generally makes the market more attractive to large participants and institutional investors.<\/li>\n<li>For Uzbekistan\u2019s stock market, the current dynamics indicate a gradual increase in trading activity and interest in exchange instruments.<\/li>\n<li>At the same time, the high share of stocks that practically do not participate in trading shows that part of the market remains unattractive to investors.<\/li>\n<li>The increase in the number of securities with maximum liquidity ratings also indicates the gradual concentration of trading around the most active and recognizable issuers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As of April 2026, half of exchange instruments remain low-liquid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":15549,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_sharing_image":{"poster":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/6a15994dbc1cb.jpg","width":1200,"height":630,"template":"2bf59057","mode":"auto"},"_sharing_image_fieldset":{"Dv78f24rp1hU":15549,"YlB8HH34jIzY":"The number of highly liquid stocks in Uzbekistan&#8217;s stock market increased by 36%"},"pin_until":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[2061],"tags":[3778,2153,3761],"class_list":["post-21102","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-en","tag-exchange","tag-statistics","tag-stocks"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.0 (Yoast SEO v25.9) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>The number of highly liquid stocks in Uzbekistan&#039;s stock market increased by 36% &#8212;
