This will prevent fuel shortages and failures at the gas stations. <\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Ministry of Energy suspended the gas pipeline on 4 September to connect the new branch.<\/li>\n<li>Gas supply to major consumers, including gas stations, is restricted.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cUzbekneftegaz\u201d, on behalf of the Ministry of Energy, increased the volume of petrol and shifted oil depots to a 24-hour operation;<\/li>\n<li>The aim is to guarantee an uninterrupted supply of gas stations in the Fergana Valley.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gas restrictions are linked to connecting a new pipeline branch in the mountains as part of the state programme.
