{"id":8558,"date":"2025-09-09T08:55:16","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T03:55:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/bez-kategorii\/inflation-expectations-in-uzbekistan-have-fallen\/"},"modified":"2025-09-09T08:55:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T03:55:16","slug":"inflation-expectations-in-uzbekistan-have-fallen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/en\/news-en\/inflation-expectations-in-uzbekistan-have-fallen\/","title":{"rendered":"Inflation expectations in Uzbekistan have fallen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Why is this important<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Inflation expectations reflect the perception of future price increases and directly influence consumer behavior, investment, and the regulator&#8217;s policies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Among the population, concerns about the exchange rate, energy resources, and utilities have decreased;<\/li>\n<li>The share of respondents expecting <strong>food prices<\/strong> to rise has increased significantly;<\/li>\n<li>The highest price increases are expected in <strong>education and science<\/strong>, the lowest in transport and crafts;<\/li>\n<li>By regions: the highest expectations are in <strong>Surkhandarya<\/strong> (14.4%), the lowest are in <strong>Namangan<\/strong> (10.5%);<\/li>\n<li>\u201cFeeling inflation\u201d among the population was <strong>13%<\/strong>, with the largest growth recorded in food, utilities, and medical services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Central Bank regularly publishes measurements of inflation expectations. In July, the indicator was <strong>12.9%<\/strong>.
