In times of high household debt, variations in interest rates can considerably influence the overall cost of a loan. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"555\"><strong data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"553\">What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"558\" data-end=\"603\"><strong data-start=\"558\" data-end=\"573\">microloans:<\/strong> average rate \u2014 <strong data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"600\">35.3%<\/strong>. The lowest: Aloqabank (22.7%), Orient Finans Bank (26.1%), Uzmilliybank (26.1%). <\/li>\n<li data-start=\"558\" data-end=\"603\">TBC Bank (42.5%), Anor Bank (41.2%), Tenge Bank (39.7%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"773\" data-end=\"789\">Car loans:<\/strong> average rate \u2014 <strong data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"816\">23.7%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"824\" data-end=\"910\">the lowest: Garant Bank (19.3%), Ipoteka-Bank (20.1%), Orient Finans Bank (21.7%);<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"915\" data-end=\"998\">highest: Infin Bank (28.0%), Madad Invest Bank (27.9%), Hamkorbank (27.8%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1481\"><strong data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1185\">Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1481\">Loan rates in Uzbekistan remain high: the Central Bank&#8217;s key interest rate is currently 14%, and inflation stands at around 9%. Banks factor in the risk of non-payment and the high cost of funding when setting loan prices.
