Projects for laying roads, renewing rolling stock, and infrastructure will create investment opportunities and jobs.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Key facts<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 11 September, the president reviewed plans for reforms in the Tashkent region, including the launch of high-speed electric trains to all districts.<\/li>\n<li>On the Tashkent\u2014Khojikent route, a modern EP3D electric train manufactured by Transmashholding has been operating since 3 December 2024, with a maximum speed of <strong>120 km\/h<\/strong> and a capacity of <strong>586 passengers<\/strong>. Ticket price \u2014 20,000 soums. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cUzbekistan Railways\u201d announced plans to purchase <strong>10 modern trains<\/strong>. Regular electric trains will continue to operate according to the current schedule. <\/li>\n<li>Among the infrastructural measures are straightening the curved sections of the Tashkent\u2014Khojikent line and including the railway area in the renovation programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What they say<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The authorities highlight that the project is a significant step towards enhancing the quality of life: residents will be able to commute without relocating, reach their destinations faster, and the transportation burden will be reduced. Representatives of \u201cUzbekistan Railways\u201d and the Ministry of Transport said that the new trains and infrastructure upgrades will provide more frequent and convenient services. <\/p>\n<p><strong> Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The electric train on the Tashkent\u2014Khojikent route is one of the pilot projects in this area.
