This marks a move towards digitalising healthcare and strengthening the fight against shadow drug trafficking. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"608\"><strong data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"606\">What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"1108\">\n<li data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"697\">\n<p data-start=\"611\" data-end=\"697\">Connection to the \u201cElectronic Healthcare\u201d system will commence in 16 cities and districts;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"698\" data-end=\"813\">\n<p data-start=\"700\" data-end=\"813\">the electronic prescription indicates the international name of the preparation, the dosage, the method of application, and the period of administration;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"907\">\n<p data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"907\">The document will contain the patient&#8217;s, doctor&#8217;s, and medical institution&#8217;s data and a<strong data-start=\"881\" data-end=\"891\"> QR code<\/strong> for verification;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"1031\">\n<p data-start=\"910\" data-end=\"1031\">potent and psychotropic drugs will remain in paper format for now; the transition to them is expected after 2027;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1108\">\n<p data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1108\">By the end of 2026, electronic prescriptions should be implemented throughout the country.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1362\" data-end=\"1377\"><strong data-start=\"1362\" data-end=\"1375\">Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1380\" data-end=\"1494\">Since 2022, Uzbekistan has been actively developing digital services in medicine: electronic cards, hospitals, and polyclinics. Similar systems operate in several EU countries: electronic prescriptions allow the doctor, pharmacy, and patient to work in a single digital circuit.
