The projects will generate jobs, enhance export potential, and decrease reliance on fuel imports. The development of green energy supports the achievement of environmental goals and the transformation of the energy system.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">An Australian investor is prepared to establish a plant in the Tuproqqal&#8217;a district.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Production capacity of 600 thousand tons of aviation fuel and 50 thousand tons of \u201cgreen diesel\u201d annually.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>4 GW<\/strong> solar power plant on a <strong>5,500-hectare<\/strong> site supplies power.<\/li>\n<li>Slovak investors will cultivate rapeseed on <strong>5,000 hectares<\/strong> and produce biofuel in the Tuproqqal&#8217;a district.<\/li>\n<li>$2 billion in investments have already been implemented in the region: 25 thousand industrial enterprises are operating; production volume has increased 2.2 times compared to 2017.<\/li>\n<li>Large-scale infrastructure projects were initiated: a railway bridge across the Amu Darya, the construction of apartment buildings, and hundreds of kilometres of water supply and sewerage networks. The poverty rate has decreased almost by half to <strong>6.8%<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<li>The President instructed creating all conditions for investors: accelerating infrastructure issues, land use, and launching more than <strong>100 new enterprises<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What they say<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The new projects will ensure the sustainable development of the region and improve the environmental situation, \u2014 the press service noted.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasises that resolving infrastructure and legal issues of land zones is vital so investors can commence work more swiftly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Uzbekistan is actively promoting reforms to boost investment appeal, especially in renewable energy and the agro-industrial sector.<\/li>\n<li>The country aims to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and develop \u201cgreen\u201d industries.<\/li>\n<li>Khorezm is emerging as a leader in executing such projects: integrating agriculture, industry, energy, and infrastructure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2239\" data-end=\"2319\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Australian company plans to invest $820 million in a plant for producing environmentally friendly aviation fuel and green diesel in the Tuprakkala district of Khorezm.
