Industry leaders \u2014 KFC, Evos, Oqtepa Lavash \u2014 demonstrate that large networks play a key role in the formation of the fiscal base. Increasing the tax burden can affect pricing, the investment climate, and the competitiveness of small businesses in the sector.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Key facts<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>20,126<\/strong> public catering organizations paid <strong>963.3 billion soums<\/strong> in taxes for seven months of 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Of this amount, <strong>184.2 billion soums<\/strong> (19.1%) were provided by the top <strong>20 taxpayers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The trade turnover of these 20 companies amounted to <strong>2.4 trillion soums<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The main types of taxes paid by major players are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>VAT \u2014 78.2 billion soums<\/li>\n<li>PIT \u2014 49.6 billion soums<\/li>\n<li>Income tax \u2014 33.2 billion soums<\/li>\n<li>Social tax \u2014 21.4 billion soums<\/li>\n<li>Other taxes \u2014 1.8 billion soums<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Food service is one of the fastest-growing sectors in Uzbekistan&#8217;s service and trade sectors; its development is closely linked to changes in consumer preferences, tourism activity, and urban infrastructure.
