The programs are aimed at sustainable growth: jobs, infrastructure, and social protection \u2014 this affects businesses, people&#8217;s incomes, and regional development. <\/p>\n<p>Supporting women and young professionals creates a reserve of personnel, promotes gender equality, and promotes digital development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s resolved<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The goal is to reduce the poverty rate to <strong>6% by the end of 2025<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Since 2016, <strong>7.5 million people<\/strong> have been lifted out of poverty.<\/li>\n<li>The poverty rate in 2024 is <strong>8.9%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The \u201cFrom Poverty to Prosperity\u201d program includes <strong>seven priority areas<\/strong> (stated at the forum).<\/li>\n<li>More than<strong> 30 international organizations<\/strong> and about <strong>200 experts<\/strong> are participating in the forum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What they say<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We are creating conditions not just for the employment of poor people, but for increasing the number of permanent jobs, providing people with stable sources of income, \u2014 president Shavkat Mirziyoyev.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It was also noted that models of small business, handicraft, and industrial zones, as well as the guaranteed sale of household plots, are already being created in the regions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Uzbekistan previously adopted national poverty criteria with the participation of the World Bank and the UN.
