Violations lead to warnings and administrative actions \u2014 risks for brands, especially new companies. <\/p>\n<p>Regional differences show that the problem is more acute in some areas \u2014 perhaps local adaptation or educational work will be required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Since the beginning of the year, the Committee has inspected 3,615 trade and service organizations for compliance with the language policy of signs, announcements, and warnings.<\/li>\n<li>2510 cases with foreign words or spelling errors were identified.<\/li>\n<li>In 1993, shortcomings were quickly rectified, and in the 21st, administrative cases were initiated.<\/li>\n<li>\u041f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u0443\u043f\u0440\u0435\u0436\u0434\u0435\u043d\u0438\u044f \u043d\u0430\u043f\u0440\u0430\u0432\u043b\u0435\u043d\u044b \u0432 2,9 \u0442\u044b\u0441. \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u043f\u0440\u0438\u044f\u0442\u0438\u0439, \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0432\u0435\u0434\u0435\u043d\u044b \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0444\u0438\u043b\u0430\u043a\u0442\u0438\u0447\u0435\u0441\u043a\u0438\u0435 \u0431\u0435\u0441\u0435\u0434\u044b \u0441 \u043f\u0435\u0440\u0441\u043e\u043d\u0430\u043b\u043e\u043c \u0442\u043e\u0440\u0433\u043e\u0432\u044b\u0445 \u0442\u043e\u0447\u0435\u043a \u0438 \u043e\u0431\u0449\u0435\u043f\u0438\u0442\u0430.<\/li>\n<li>In the regions: Samarkand region \u2014 up to 40% of companies with foreign words in their names; Andijan and Syrdarya regions \u2014 by 30%, Namangan region \u2014 up to 26%.<\/li>\n<li>Example: in the Bukhara region in 2024, out of 5,000 registered firms \u2014 300 with foreign words; in the first quarter of 2025 \u2014 245 out of 1,203.<\/li>\n<li>VFS Global is being investigated separately \u2014 for not using Uzbek language in documents, voice menus, and communication.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What will this give to the population and business<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For the population:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The share of information and announcements in the state language will increase \u2014 it will make it easier to understand the signs, the target for the local population.<\/li>\n<li>Perhaps, the prestige and status of the Uzbek language will rise, and national identity will strengthen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For business:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New obligations: verification of names, signs, advertising, documentation for compliance with language norms \u2014 re-registration costs.<\/li>\n<li>For brands with foreign words in their name, there is a risk of administrative penalties.<\/li>\n<li>Perhaps, the requirements for legal support, branding, and marketing will be strengthened.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Uzbekistan&#8217;s legislation emphasizes the priority of using the Uzbek language in public information.
