{"id":9513,"date":"2025-09-22T07:29:35","date_gmt":"2025-09-22T02:29:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/bez-kategorii\/gas-production-in-uzbekistan-decreased-for-8-months-28-9-billion-cubic-meters\/"},"modified":"2025-09-22T07:29:35","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T02:29:35","slug":"gas-production-in-uzbekistan-decreased-for-8-months-28-9-billion-cubic-meters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/en\/news-en\/gas-production-in-uzbekistan-decreased-for-8-months-28-9-billion-cubic-meters\/","title":{"rendered":"Gas production in Uzbekistan decreased: for 8 months \u2014 28.9 billion cubic meters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Why is this important<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A decrease in gas and other hydrocarbon production may affect the country&#8217;s energy security, export revenues, and the need to increase imports or revise plans for the development of the gas industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gas production decreased from 30.1 billion cubic meters in January-August 2024 to <strong>28.9 billion<\/strong> cubic meters in the same months of 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Gas condensate production also decreased \u2014 the decline is <strong>8.3%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Oil production decreased from 485.1 thousand tons to <strong>434.5 thousand tons<\/strong> in annual terms.<\/li>\n<li>Gas exports increased by 24.1% compared to last year, totaling <strong>$494.7 million<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Gas imports fell by approximately <strong>27.9%<\/strong> during the same period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The decline in gas and oil production is observed against the backdrop of increased export revenues \u2014 the country managed to increase revenue despite the decline in production volumes. A decrease in gas imports may indicate attempts to reduce dependence on external supplies.
