{"id":9610,"date":"2025-09-23T11:57:21","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T06:57:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/bez-kategorii\/forecast-dollar-exchange-rate-may-exceed-12600-soums-by-the-end-of-the-year\/"},"modified":"2025-09-23T18:41:52","modified_gmt":"2025-09-23T13:41:52","slug":"forecast-dollar-exchange-rate-may-exceed-12600-soums-by-the-end-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frank.uz\/en\/news-en\/forecast-dollar-exchange-rate-may-exceed-12600-soums-by-the-end-of-the-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Prediction: dollar exchange rate may exceed 12,600 soums by the end of the year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Why is this important<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The exchange rate forecast influences business and consumer expectations, especially given the ongoing pressure from foreign trade and changes in commodity prices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>According to the official exchange rate on September 22, the dollar depreciated by 4.42% since the beginning of the year \u2014 to 12,349.87 soums.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>KAP DEPO analysts <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/kapdepo\/7851\">link<\/a> the strengthening of the sum to several factors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a decrease in the dollar index in global markets;<\/li>\n<li>growth of cross-border transfers;<\/li>\n<li>a sharp increase in gold exports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Company forecast:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>until the end of October \u2014 about 12,400 soums;<\/li>\n<li>by the end of 2025 \u2014 within the range of 12,510-12,620 soums.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The strengthening of the soum is explained by the discrepancy between the REER and NEER indices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>REER (real effective exchange rate) reflects the growth of purchasing power;<\/li>\n<li>NEER (nominal effective exchange rate) indicates pressure from external markets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What they say<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe current stability of the sum is maintained by internal capital flows and export earnings\u201d, analysts from KAP DEPO stated.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Uzbekistan has significantly increased its gold exports since the beginning of the year, leading to an increase in foreign currency earnings. At the same time, imports increased by 11.8%, but the lag behind export growth allowed the exchange rate to remain within stable limits.
