Context
In 2023, Mirziyoyev promised to build interceptor parking at the entrances and at six metro stations. The BRT system is planned to be scaled up to reduce traffic jams and transition to public transport. The project is being implemented jointly with Tashkent Invest and the UAE’s DP World.
