Tourist and gastronomic streets will be freed from cars

The creation of pedestrian zones is aimed at increasing tourist attractiveness and improving the urban environment.

What happened

The Tourism Committee announced the creation of “car-free zones” in the cities of Uzbekistan. Now pedestrian zones will be open for tourists and local residents, which will ensure comfortable recreation and free walks, and will increase the convenience of citizens and guests of the country.

  • Bukhara: from Toki-Telpakfroshon to the parking lot near the Ark fortress;
  • Khiva: territory of the “Arda-Khiva” complex.
