Cooperation opportunities
During the meeting, the parties discussed the participation of Oman and its companies in Uzbekistan’s investment projects.
The following opportunities were also discussed:
- joint development of small artificial satellites;
- creation of laboratory centers and ground stations;
- projects for remote sensing of the Earth (climate monitoring, agriculture, ecology);
- launch of educational programs in the space sphere for specialists and students.
OmanLens and Mars Development and Investments have shown interest in technologies and joint initiatives, especially in terms of satellite projects and infrastructure development.
Context
- Uzcosmos is activating international relations: the agency previously announced plans to expand the network of partnerships for the development of satellite technologies and personnel training.
- For Uzbekistan, the space sector is a tool for increasing agricultural efficiency, forecasting natural processes, and modernizing digital services.
- The formalization of cooperation will allow Uzbekistan to accelerate the creation of its own small satellites and attract foreign investment in space infrastructure.
