Why is this important
Large-scale violations at construction sites directly affect air quality, dust pollution levels, and sanitary conditions in the city. Strengthening control and stopping work at violating facilities are designed to reduce the environmental burden, increase safety for residents, and ensure compliance with mandatory improvement standards. Also, inspection measures are included in the presidential decree on urgent measures to improve the air quality in Tashkent.
What happened
- The relevant agencies, including the Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Construction, and the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, conducted a comprehensive inspection of construction sites in 12 districts of Tashkent.
- 140 employees participated in the inspections.
- The specialists checked whether the facilities comply with dust and garbage emission standards and whether they pollute the atmosphere with excessive measures.
