Why is this important
The road section was narrow, two-lane, with frequent traffic jams and accidents. With four lanes, concrete pavement, new bridges, and pedestrian crossings, traffic will become safer and faster, improving Namangan’s connection with Tashkent and enhancing convenience for residents and businesses.

Context
The 4R-112 highway of the Fergana Ring Road, in the direction of Pungon—Namangan, was previously a problematic section due to the narrow roadway, especially in the Fergana Valley. The President gave instructions to ensure the high-quality construction and its timely completion. The project is expected to increase the capacity by four times, reduce accidents, and improve the region’s road infrastructure.
